Penny Pinchers is a family business that has 40 years of experience in catering, food preparation and service.

Eldon & Jackie, it’s founders, were both born into families involved in the food business. They met at TTHTI, where Eldon was a Chef Instructor and Jackie, a Student of Management & Food Preparation. They opened ‘Eldon’s Creole Skillet’ in Port-of-Spain, serving creole breakfasts & lunches following the footsteps of his father, who ran a similar food place in Port of Spain which Eldon worked in from childhood to adulthood.

Eldon & Jackie then moved on to operating the cafe at the US Embassy for a number of years, followed by the Central Bank Cafeteria for nine (9) years. At this junction, they decided to cater full time privately and have never looked back since.

In 2008, they opened Anise Resort & Spa as an opportunity to marry their two loves: food and customer service.
